How have you grown as an artist?
As an artist I have grown in becoming more confident in my work. I have also developed more patience and dedication to my art work then I did before. My perspective on art has also changed. When I look at a piece of art even if it's simple it can be a great piece. I also learned that little details matter and can really improve your piece. Another thing I have learned is that if you mess up you can also create something out of your mistake, it doesn't always ruin your piece. The picture on the left was my first sculpture project for this class. The assignment was to create a pinch pot. As you can see I didn't do a good job smoothing it out. The picture on the right is the sgraffito project. I did a much better job smoothing it out and making it even.

If given the opportunity, which project would you do over?
If given a do-over I would chose to redo the rattle pinch pot project. I created an angry bird for my pinch pot. The angry bird was very simple and childish. Also my eyes on the bird have random black spots on them. Next time I would chose to do something more complex and detailed. I would chose to create an owl as my pinch pot (like the picture on the right).

What medium was your favorite to work with?
My favorite medium to work with was clay. I love how you can transform the clay to different formations. In the pictures below on the left you can see how the part of the eye patches on the panada were really sticking out. If you look at the picture on the right you can see how I changed the eye patches to go inwards. Some techniques I was able to get better at are pinching and coiling.

Discuss one project where you felt you were the least successful.
My wearable art project I felt was my least successful project. My earrings were very basic. Also the blue ring does not fit. I could have put more effort into this project. Instead if I were to change this project I would make all my jewelry match and coordinate. I would also make the rings out of wire instead of clay.
